The group combines evidence-based treatments for medical conditions: physical activity through yoga and cognitive based mindfulness training. Each class will be 90 minutes, consisting of initial discussion and education, breathing exercises (pranayama), mindfulness meditation (dharana), physical postures (asanas), and reflection. This is a physically active flow-based yoga class, and it can make you sweat! Modifications are available to enable you to go at your own pace, so that everyone can benefit regardless of fitness level or previous yoga experience.
Duration: 90 minutes per session
Frequency: Once a week for 9 weeks
Format: Group sessions with a structured progression
Location: Zoom
Modifications Available: Postures are adaptable so that all levels of practitioners can participate (beginners are welcome!)
